ClickBank is an affiliate marketing network for products and services that can be transmitted electronically--one of the affiliate networks I have personally used extensively. It is straightforward and I have never experienced any issues with payments not arriving or arriving late. They've always been very good in that regard.
A first view of the site (www.ClickBank.com) might leave you a little nervous. The site does not appear to be professional (in my opinion) and looks like someone threw it up in just a few days. Fortunately, this is not the case. The site is by no means fancy--but it is definitely functional.
The first step at Click Bank depends on what you want to do. Are you an affiliate looking to sell products for others or are you trying to promote your own products via affiliate marketing? ClickBank is very intuitive in that, at least prior to registration, they use terms that are easy for even a complete newbie to understand. If you are an affiliate, click "Promote Products - Earn cash as a ClickBank affiliate." If you are offering products/services, click "Sell Products - Sell your products at ClickBank." We will deal with each option in turn.
Signing up as a seller is easy and free. With over 100,000 affiliates in their network, ClickBank will definitely get your products some exposure (unless they are complete rubbish or your commission is ridiculously low). ClickBank will take a share of the profits along with the affiliate so you should price accordingly.
For affiliates, ClickBank offers easy access to thousands of products and services. The products and services are all required to be electronically transferable--meaning that it is very easy for prospective customers to become actual buyers. They just have to enter their information and the entire sale, including delivery, can be taken care of over the web.
How do you, as an affiliate, get credit for the sale? By using a specific link format that includes your affiliate ID for identification. The URLs look something like AffiliateID.SellerID.hop.clickbank.net, but this changes from time to time so make sure to check on the Click Bank website. This link format will tell Click Bank that you referred the customer, and when the customer makes a purchase Click Bank will be notified and your account will automatically be credited with your commission payment.
It is all very convenient and straightforward. If you are looking to sell (or promote) products that are electronically transmittable products, ClickBank can be great. It definitely has its critics, but I have personally found it to be quite useful and effective. This review is based on my own personal experience.
If you decide to sign up over at ClickBank (which is free by the way), and you feel like doing me a favor, you can follow my affiliate link. Yep, this link is testament to my use of Click Bank! I'm hesitant to put it here just because I don't want anyone thinking I'm recommending ClickBank in order to earn affiliate commissions, but what the heck. This is an honest review based on my personal use of the ClickBank network.
